Rose alder (Caldcluvia australiensis, now classified as Ackama australiensis) is a rainforest tree of the family Cunoniaceae; despite its name it is not a true alder. Kew's Plants of the World Online gives its native range as north-east Queensland. The Global Wood Density Database records a basic density (oven-dry mass divided by green volume) of about 0.49 to 0.50 g/cm3 across five records for Australia and Papua New Guinea. That is the only published density figure we found; it is not the same measure as an air-dried weight. The weight shown on this page does not come from a published source.
